Project Specialist - R&D, Graphics - Part-Time - Remote

Job Description

Our food and beverage client is seeking a Project Specialist, R&D, Graphics. This role is part-time, 20 hours a week, fully remote.

The Project Specialist leads the execution of projects for branded and private label products through the client's stage gate process. This role bridges the gap between new product development and operations, ensuring successful commercial deployment across different functions and stakeholders.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Drive the development and execution of commercialization projects from concept to market launch
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the client's Stage Gate Process
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously from concept to delivery
- Build and maintain detailed project plans, communication plans, timelines, risk trackers, and lessons learned documentation
- Track project milestones and KPIs, providing regular status updates to stakeholders
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams including R&D, Packaging, Regulatory, Creative, Brand Marketing, Category Marketing, Operations, Procurement, Quality, and Supply Chain
- Facilitate effective communication between departments to ensure alignment on commercialization objectives
- Identify and communicate risks and issues with appropriate teams while providing recommended solutions
- Help continuously improve the client's commercialization processes and best practices


WHAT YOU'LL NEED: 
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field; PMP certification is a plus
- 1-4+ years of experience in project management, food manufacturing, and/or consumer packaged goods; relevant internship or co-op experience considered
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work well under pressure
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage across all levels of an organization
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to build and maintain business relationships
- Resourcefulness, accountability, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
