Apex Systems is looking for a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Schaumburg, IL!
This opportunity currently pays $50-$63/hr with a target conversion salary around $95-$100K.
Job Descriptions
- Develop and maintain test strategies, test plans, and test cases for new and existing features.
- Design and implement automated testing frameworks for functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Select and integrate appropriate automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, etc.).
- Leverage GitHub Copilot to accelerate test development and improve code quality.
- Collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality releases.
- Perform code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
- Monitor and report on test coverage, defect metrics, and quality KPIs.
- Maintain CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing.
- Continuously improve QA processes and tools to align with industry best practices.
Responsibilities /Qualifiers
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in QA engineering with a focus on automation.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and QA best practices.
- Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
- Experience with programming languages such as C#, SQL Queries.
- Familiarity with GitHub Copilot and other AI-assisted development tools.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
