Responsibilities*

Coordinate NEPTUNE Ancillary Studies: 

  • Monitor overall ASP activities, ensure all ancillaries comply with consortium and NIH requirements; provide regular reporting to the co-chairs and consortium, develop progress reports for NIDDK and NCATS. 
  • Work with ASP Chairs and NephCure on defining process for review of and information dissemination for any pilot programs. Define workflow, milestones, schedule of activities, and coordination with ASC.
  • Define and implement review process for ancillary study proposals. Continuously review/implement ASP for process improvements in communications, review procedures, material revisions, and policy amendments.
  • Serve as point of contact for Ancillary Investigators (AI) for information about the ancillary program and processes, assistance developing proposals, conduct tranSMART training, triaging review comments, communication regarding approval and conditions of approval. 
  • Coordinate outgoing data and outgoing samples with CBR and others.
  • Secure data returns and data documentation (using return data form); work with Sr. Statistician on datafile development, codebook, and any other documentation from AI that is relevant to use of the data; 
  • Work with Sr. Data Taxonomist on integration of ancillary data into tranSMART 
  • Coordinate meetings with the ASC, including agenda development, meeting facilitation, action items, reporting to DACC. Coordinate training for new ASP members; maintain ASC Roster.
  • Including joint NEPTUNE and CureGN Ancillary Studies
  • Serve as a liaison with Business Development Director to ensure work scope, project timeline, data sharing requirements, and publication requirements that the consortium approved are represented with industry partnerships.

Administrative Support for NEPTUNE and related studies:

  • Provide assistance to study teams for updating study documents inclusive of manual of procedures, case report forms, developing reports, and modifying the protocol as indicated by the respective Consortia
  • Assist with the Recruitment & Retention Committees and be the committee liaison for all R&R Committee members, scheduling, developing R&R Content, and distributing study-wide materials to the sites
  • Assist with site shipping

Facilitate NEPTUNE Incoming Shipments for CBR:

  • Receive all shipping manifests from all sites, internal and external, via RDCRN REDCap instance, using macro, create a manifest for the CBR, create new study participants, accession samples, CBT samples, and log for freezer placement
  • Run queries for shipments received/delivered
  • Be study contact for shipping questions and REDCap manifest creation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve site shipping errors

Oversee NEPTUNE Publication Process:

  • Oversee publication process including coordinating with (co)chairs on policy updates; determine appropriate reviewers for manuscript/abstract reviews, tracking of status of publication requests and development; communications of requirements to publishing collaborators.
  • Follow-up on manuscript/abstract reviews within pre-determined timeline and provide responses to authors.

Keep NEPTUNE Website Updated and Accurate:

  • Review website for accuracy, ensuring all site contact information is up to date (research coordinator turnover is high)
  • Upload revised documents to the website as needed (new ancillary application form inclusive of the Alport cohort, e.g.)
  • Work with PM to ensure the Match study calculator is always up to date for dynamic eligibility.

Required Qualifications*

  • Demonstrated success in cultivating relationships with research faculty, staff, and/or key stakeholders from varied backgrounds and collaborating across organizations. 
  • Ability to set priorities, handle multiple assignments and deadlines and display excellent judgment while operating in a flexible and professional manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to the needs of the program.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability, including a willingness to undertake both mundane and high-profile tasks.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with a diverse range of co-workers, proficient in training and supervising students, capable of multitasking efficiently, and display a meticulous attention to detail

Intermediate level

  • Bachelors Degree is required in social science, statistics, public health, organizational behavior, and management science or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4+ years of related experience.

Associate level

  • Bachelors Degree is required in social science, statistics, public health, organizational behavior, and management science or a related field.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of related experience.

Desired Qualifications*

  • Masters Degree is required in social science, statistics, public health, organizational behavior, and management science or a related field and 5+ years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated excellence in problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills 
  • Teamwork- you have a team-oriented experience and approach and can foster professional relationships.
