Salesforce Data Cloud Technical Consultant

Location: Hybrid onsite 3x / week: Hartford, CT, Chicago or Buffalo Grove, IL, or Woonsocket, RI

Duration: 3-6 month contract-to-hire

Candidates must be able to work without sponsorship both now and in the future.

We are seeking a hands-on technical leader to spearhead the implementation and operationalization of Data Cloud (Data 360) within our client’s organization. This role is pivotal in establishing best practices, governance, and long-term strategy for Data Cloud adoption, with a strong focus on integration with our existing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the initial implementation of Data Cloud, including building a Proof of Concept (POC) for targeted use cases.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to demonstrate value and drive adoption across the organization.
  • Design and implement no-ETL data pipelines between GCP and Data Cloud.
  • Establish and document best practices, security protocols, and guardrails for Data Cloud usage.
  • Serve as the technical owner of the Data Cloud environment, with a path toward becoming the team lead for its long-term operations.
  • Define and manage DevOps pipelines, including decisions around ownership and execution.
  • Provide hands-on support during the early phases, transitioning into a more strategic and consultative role as the team scales.
  • Ensure robust IAM (Identity and Access Management) and governance frameworks are in place to support secure and compliant data operations.

Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Data Cloud (Data 360)
  • Strong understanding of IAM, data governance, and security best practices.
  • Experience designing and implementing no-ETL architectures.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to scale technical solutions and teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in building operational teams around new technologies.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and pipeline management.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
