JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Lead Developer to provide hands-on technical leadership for a large-scale CRM transformation and consolidation program. Working closely with the Salesforce Enterprise Architect, this role will translate the target-state architecture into scalable technical designs and high-quality solutions delivered across multiple releases.
The Lead Developer will guide the development team while remaining hands-on in complex Salesforce design, development, integration, troubleshooting, and release activities. The program will consolidate legacy CRM and deal-management platforms into a unified Salesforce environment supporting core sales and customer-lifecycle processes.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
Architecture and Technical Leadership
• Partner with the Salesforce Enterprise Architect to convert target-state architecture into executable technical designs.
• Lead technical design decisions and communicate risks, tradeoffs, dependencies, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Establish and enforce reusable engineering standards for Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, integrations, Salesforce security, testing, logging, exception handling, and code review.
• Define patterns and accelerators that improve delivery consistency, scalability, maintainability, and speed.
Hands-on Development and Integration
• Lead the design and development of complex Salesforce Sales Cloud capabilities across lead, account, contact, opportunity, workflow, approval, contracting, and customer-management processes.
• Design and oversee integrations with internal and external platforms using API-led, middleware-based, and event-driven patterns.
• Provide hands-on support for complex development, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, performance optimization, and defect resolution.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA, delivery leadership, and client stakeholders to translate requirements into implementable solutions.
Team Leadership and Engineering Quality
• Mentor and guide the nearshore development team, promoting consistent engineering practices, accountability, and knowledge transfer.
• Lead code reviews and ensure adherence to architecture, security, documentation, testing, and bulkification standards.
• Manage platform health through impact analysis, automated testing, and proactive technical-debt management.
Release, Consolidation, and Cutover Support
• Provide technical leadership for consolidating Salesforce and non-Salesforce CRM platforms into the strategic Salesforce environment.
• Support data mapping, transformation, validation, reconciliation, migration, and cutover activities while helping preserve or improve critical legacy capabilities.
• Lead technical release readiness, including deployment planning, defect triage, production-readiness reviews, and hypercare.

As a consulting position, the work location for this role varies according to client needs. Accordingly, this is not a remote position. While some assignments may be performed largely remotely, other assignments require fully on-site work, hybrid work, and/or occasional travel.

• Demonstrated expertise in governor limits, bulkification, performance optimization, automated testing, and platform scalability.
• Proven experience leading enterprise Salesforce technical workstreams and mentoring nearshore, offshore, or distributed development teams.
• Experience translating enterprise architecture into scalable, secure, and maintainable Salesforce solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce multi-org consolidation and legacy CRM migration, including large-scale data transformation and cutover support.
• Strong working knowledge of CI/CD, source control, environment management, and post-production support.
• Ability to lead client-facing technical discussions and design sessions. Houston onsite availability is required.
