Job Summary

Medline is seeking a dynamic and results-driven SAP SD/Vistex - Application Manager to lead its transformative SAP initiatives. This key role will be responsible for management and delivery of assigned SAP SD and Vistex application functions that support Medline’s commercial and revenue management processes including Pricing, Contracts, Chargebacks, Billbacks and Rebates.

This role will blend solution delivery, product ownership, leadership and accountability to deliver & maintain SAP SD and Vistex applications, for achieving optimal solutions aligned with Medline’s business objectives.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and lead product teams to implement scalable, compliant and modern solutions, including SAP modernization projects involving upgrade and implementation of Vistex V4 and SAP S/4HANA roadmaps.

Job Description

Solution Delivery

  • Responsible for end-to-end solution and team deliverables for the assigned functional area.
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to design and implement SAP SD and Vistex solutions.
  • Implement and maintain SAP SD and Vistex modules including Paybacks & Chargebacks, Incentive Administration & Rebates using standard SAP & Vistex features supported by Data objects, DMP, VIZI reporting and Fiori apps.
  • Provide support and solution for various processes that cover contract administration, pricing, chargeback processing, billback processing, reconciliation, incentives, rebates management.
  • Lead solution workshops, develop blueprints, and ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Lead and execute modernization initiatives including Vistex V4 and SAP S/4HANA pre-projects and upgrades for assigned functional areas.
  • Lead integration designs and deliverables with connected systems like EDI, BI, CRM and low-code platforms during significant upgrades.
  • Engage and coordinate with external consultants and system integrators during implementations or upgrades.
  • Present solution designs and status updates to senior leadership.

Product Ownership

  • Build strong relationships with business leaders to understand processes, define roadmaps, and prioritize enhancements.
  • Define quarterly product objectives and deliver project phases, enhancements or key results based on defined OKR (Objectives & Key results) framework.
  • Prioritize and deliver product backlog and large projects in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Manage product backlog and team deliverables in project & portfolio management tools like JIRA & Shibumi.
  • Approve system changes as the Change Owner and present CAB (Change Approval Board) requests to Senior IT leadership and Change Management teams.
  • Oversee RICEFW developments and ensure proper documentation and testing.
  • Identify impact to connected functionalities and ensure completion of thorough regression testing.
  • Establish and enforce application governance practices, including change management, release management, and documentation.
  • Review and approve solution designs, functional specifications, test results, regression and performance metrics associated with new system changes.

Leadership

  • Provide direction and mentorship to develop a team of high-performing SAP and Vistex professionals, fostering belonging, growth and accountability.
  • Define goals, KPIs, and performance expectations for the team.
  • Establish and enforce governance practices for application lifecycle management, including change control, release management, and documentation.
  • Conduct regular checkpoints and meetings with the team and individual analysts to define and track tactical and operational goals.
  • Act as a liaison between IT and business units, ensuring alignment of technology solutions with business priorities.
  • Communicate technical concepts in clear business terms and manage adoption strategies.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership team to define and execute IT roadmaps, aligning it with overall business and architecture objectives.
  • Support IT leaders in establishing strategic plans and leading its tactical execution.
  • Manage vendor & SI relationships, including drafting RFPs & SOWs, and managing SLAs, licensing, and escalations when required.

System Availability:

  • Own application health and guide analysts and developers during design, build and testing phases.
  • Monitor and resolve system issues, ensuring timely delivery of enhancements.
  • Review system performance and proactively identify bottlenecks in system processes.
  • Recommend and implement performance tuning strategies for large data volumes and complex agreement, rebates & pricing scenarios.
  • Define and monitor product KPIs for assigned application area.
  • Support go-live activities and provide post-implementation support.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and adopt emerging technologies to enhance business efficiency.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, computer science, information systems or related fields.
  • 10+ years of experience in solution delivery of large and complex SAP SD and Vistex solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience in leadership role, managing direct reports and individual contributors across global teams.
  • 2+ years of experience in planning and implementing solutions in V4 and S/4 HANA environments.
  • Good understanding of SAP SD functionalities like Pricing, Contracts, Rebates and Vistex modules like Incentive Administration, Paybacks and Chargebacks.
  • Broad functional knowledge of Order to Cash processes and other SAP modules including FI and MM.
  • Familiarity with Contract Pricing, Membership, Price Maintenance, Pricing Catalogs and chargeback reconciliation.
  • Excellent business communication – both verbal & written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with high desire to collaborate and work towards mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Ability to maintain high degree of stakeholder & team interaction.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience of working on RFPs and SOWs and managing external & internal IT partners.
  • Ability to work with and influence senior management.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio).
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe) and tools (JIRA, Confluence).
  • Ability to interact with off-site team members and work in a matrix environment.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$115,440.00 - $173,160.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
