Job Description
Northrop Grumman's ATL semiconductor foundry is a unique capability supporting a range of production microelectronic devices (Silicon, Gallium Arsenide, Gallium Nitride, Silicon Carbide, Carbon Nanotubes) and providing leading edge technology development in superconducting electronics. Our multidisciplinary foundry team enables activities from development to sustainment process engineering. ATL is responsible for all aspects of semiconductor technology including design, mask making, wafer fabrication, test, and assembly. The candidate must be a strong team participant, have excellent communication skills, and be resourceful and multitalented. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong leadership characteristics, a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business. In this blended role, the ideal candidate will possess the ability to balance programmatic needs to deliver results within cost, schedule, and quality parameters while encouraging and rewarding innovative behaviors in the staff. A strong understanding of semiconductor technology, metrology processes, and equipment engineering is essential.
The Semiconductor CVD Process Engineering Manager will be responsible for but not limited to:
• Direct report tasking and oversight of in-process tasks
• Recruiting, staffing and onboarding of new hires
• Personnel performance assessments and salary/bonus reviews
• Recurring 1-on-1 meetings with direct reports
• Time charging approval
• Career development of employees through mentoring and coaching of team members
• Facilitating cross-functional communication and program / engineering interface activities
• Supporting continuous improvement projects
• Budget oversight

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or other related technical discipline with 5 years of Semiconductor and/or Management experience (or 3 years with MS)
• Direct experience with semiconductor CVD processes, knowledgeable and practiced in evaporation and sputtering techniques
• Must have good understanding/knowledge of semiconductor fabrication techniques and working in a cleanroom environment
• Leadership experience (team lead, project lead, organization lead, etc.)
• Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control, continuous improvement methodology, Design of Experiments, lean manufacturing practices and structured problem-solving methodology
• Must be a US Citizen
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
• Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to identify manufacturing improvements, manage change, and implement solutions
• Ability and desire to assume a technical leadership role within the organization
• Experience developing and evaluating technical specifications for equipment procurement
• Knowledge of capital equipment purchasing procedures
• Familiar with various software packages commonly found in Semiconductor Wafer Fabs - EMS Systems (FactoryWorks or alike systems), statistical analysis tools - SPACE, JMP, Minitab, etc.

Primary Level Salary Range: $115,500.00 - $173,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
