National Grid is hiring a Senior Analyst, Capital Project Planning for Massachusetts. This is a Onsite Role - Must live within a commutable distance to Worcester, MA.
Job Purpose
Support the Transmission Line Construction and Maintenance Organization by maintaining performance metrics, analyzing construction activities, processing invoices and purchase orders, and ensuring accurate tracking of resources used to manage capital plan delivery and maintenance programs. This role provides reporting and insights that help managers and supervisors make informed decisions, improve processes, and align construction deliverables with business and reliability goals.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop, maintain, and publish dashboards that track crew, district, and contractor performance against business plan goals.
- Monitor and analyze project and maintenance cycle times, identifying bottlenecks and recommending process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Review department budgets, track contractor spend, and provide variance analysis to support financial accountability and planning.
- Monitor utilization of rented and owned vehicles and construction equipment, ensuring resources are used effectively.
- Process invoices and support purchase order (PO) creation to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Monitor compliance with AEDs and provide reporting to leadership.
- Prepare reports and presentations that summarize performance, trends, and opportunities for leadership review.
- Support the Director, Managers, and Supervisors with data-driven insights to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with construction standards.
- Review and measure contractor/MSA performance on safety, quality, schedule, and cost, providing reporting and recommendations for improvement.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, providing analytical support to evaluate effectiveness and recommend enhancements.
- Provide analytical and administrative support during storm restoration and emergency events as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Data Analytics, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in utility operations, construction support, or data analytics preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to manage and interpret large data sets.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with SAP or other enterprise systems preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the Director, Managers, Supervisors, and external stakeholders.

Salary - $106,000 - $125,000
