Product Analyst – 12-Month Contract (Onsite in Spring, TX)

Title: Product Analyst

Length: 12 month

Location: Spring, TX (onsite 5 days a week)

Key Responsibilities
  • Application Support & Maintenance
    • Support production accounting and measurement systems (ProCount, FLOWCAL, CARTE).
    • Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes or enhancements.
    • Manage system upgrades, patches, and integrations with upstream/midstream applications.
  • Data Management & Integrity
    • Ensure accurate data flow from field measurement devices (meters, SCADA) into accounting platforms.
    • Design and implement allocation systems; set up new wells and allocation networks.
    • Validate production and allocation data for unconventional wells, pads, and facilities.
    • Create and modify SQL views, stored procedures, and scripts for reporting tools (Spotfire, Power BI).
  • Integration & Automation
    • Develop and maintain interfaces between production accounting tools and ERP systems (SAP).
    • Automate workflows for allocations, balancing, and reporting.
  • Compliance & Standards
    • Support regulatory and contractual reporting requirements.
    • Lead special projects such as software upgrades, new allocation scenarios, and application testing.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Work closely with Production Engineers, Measurement Analysts, and Accounting teams.
    • Provide training and documentation for end-users.
Preferred Experience
  • 5+ years in IT support for oil & gas production systems.
  • Exposure to unconventional operations (shale, tight oil, fracking).
  • Advanced understanding of production accounting processes (month-end close, NRIs, regulatory filing, allocations, PPAs).
Required Skills
  • Technical Expertise: ProCount, FLOWCAL, CARTE, SCADA systems, data historians.
  • IT Skills: SQL, PowerShell, Databricks, ADF, cloud environments (Azure/AWS), API integrations.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical ability, and effective communication with technical/non-technical stakeholders.
