Do you want to shape how engineers support the electrification transition using modeling and simulation? Join us in partnering with leading renewable energy providers, industrial automation suppliers, and electric utilities to advance their ability to develop, validate, and optimize complex control and electrical systems.


In this customerfacing presales engineering role, you will drive adoption of MathWorks' Technical Computing and ModelBased Design tools with commercial customers. You'll collaborate directly with power systems and power electronics engineers to deeply understand their technical and business challenges, and propose highimpact solutions that accelerate their system development workflows.


This role includes travel throughout North America, typically around 30-40%.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with prospective customers to understand their engineering workflows and recommend impactful solutions that improve their development processes.

  • Advocate for customer needs and influence the strategic direction of MathWorks products.

  • Contribute to the advancement of customer methodologies, helping them deploy best practices, tools, and techniques for greater systemlevel effectiveness.

  • Maintain high customer satisfaction through proactive communication, technical ownership, and thoughtful followthrough.

  • Collaborate with Sales to define and execute shared account strategies aligned to each customer's definition of success.

  • Identify new application areas and partner with Marketing to develop compelling demos, messaging, and content for events, conferences, and industry engagements.


Qualifications

  • MS or Ph.D. in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or equivalent experience.

  • Background in power systems engineering and power electronics.

  • Experience developing and verifying physical models for the purpose of control design, component sizing, and system performance evaluation.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in both a group and individual settings.

  • Experience with MathWorks products preferred (MATLAB & Simulink) and other engineering tools such as PSCAD, PLECS, PSSE, SolidWorks, OpalRT.


Required Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience) is required.
