Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Graphic Designer with a refined aesthetic and strong creative process-someone eager to be hands-on and bring ideas to life. This role focuses on advancing New York Life's new visual identity by elevating design quality, strengthening brand cohesion across all touchpoints, evolving brand assets, and aligning aesthetics with strategic business goals.

Reporting to the Creative Design Director, you'll design cohesive marketing and integrated materials from concept through execution, collaborating with marketing partners, business leaders, and compliance teams to deliver compelling, brand-aligned design across digital, print, social, and internal channels.

What You'll Do:

  1. Concept & Execution
  • Design and production of high-quality creative concepts and finished materials for integrated campaigns across digital, print, social media, presentations, reports, infographics, and field communications.
  • Support the execution of firmwide marketing touchpoints that support business priorities.
  • Build upon brand guidelines to design and produce consistent, brand-aligned materials across all touchpoints.
  • Be a brand ambassador and offer fresh and creative ideas to communicate content effectively.

  1. Brand Stewardship
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of brand guidelines, templates, and scalable design systems.
  • Contribute to the evolution of New York Life's brand identity, applying consistent application across all touchpoints.
  • Guide internal clients and teams on the application of brand guidelines-contributing to their evolution and crafting templates, system elements, and other visual assets.

  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Effective communicator and collaborator, able to articulate design decisions and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Take direction from senior staff while contributing new ideas and a fresh perspective to enhance team creativity and innovation.

  1. Project & Workflow Management
  • Manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Maintain organized workflows, ensuring timely delivery of assets and consistent quality.
  • Contribute to process improvements and best practices that enhance creative efficiency.

  • Strong conceptual and strategic thinking.

  • Experience in creating concepts, designs, and specifications for platforms including print, web, email, social, and branded environments.
  • Collaborative mindset with confidence to help facilitate creative direction when needed.
  • Adaptability and comfort with iterative feedback.

Education & Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field; and/or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of professional design experience-preferably within financial services, insurance, a professional services organization, or other corporate environments.
  • Strong proficiency in design tools including Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and Figma.
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite (Word and PowerPoint).
  • Motion graphic, animation or video editing expertise a plus.
  • Experience with basic web design and an understanding of core UI/UX principles (layout, usability, and user-centered design) is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Ceros.
  • Deeply passionate about design trends and continuously learning and experimenting with new techniques and tools.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range:$97,500 - $125,000

Overtime eligible:Exempt

Discretionary bonus eligible:Yes

Sales bonus eligible:No

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
