As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be immersed in the full product lifecycle - from ideation and development to deployment and ongoing improvement. Collaborate with a high-performing team of engineers, product managers, and designers to build highly available and scalable services. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute your expertise to a mission-critical platform, while continually learning and growing your skills.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the development and testing of systems and services.
- Contribute to the technical architecture of the product.
- Translate product requirements into user stories and technical solutions.
- Deliver highly available and scalable services in a production environment.
- Mentor other engineers and foster a positive technical culture.
- Generate innovative ideas for new initiatives and technologies.
- Communicate effectively with project leads, product managers, and fellow developers.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 4+ years of programming experience, preferably on a modern stack.
- 2+ years of Java, Kotlin, or Scala programming experience.
- Strong understanding of relational databases and ORMs.
- Experience working on a SOA or microservice-based application.
- Collaborative work style and a strong sense of ownership.
- Passion for problem-solving and delivering impactful features.
- Experience in a collaborative coding environment, including code reviews and pull requests.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Interest in personal finance.
- Experience scaling highly available, mission-critical systems.
- Full-stack experience (systems, databases, or front-end).
Compensation:
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $78.00 to $86.67 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
