Job Summary

Senior Business Analysts are responsible for defining scope, eliciting business requirements, and documenting in a concise manner for complex business and technology-enabled process improvement projects. They quickly learn and understand business operational processes and the technology applications used to support them. They work closely with stakeholders to understand needs, create and improve processes, and propose solutions aligned with needs. Additionally, they mentor and support the team on business analysis best practices and methodologies.

Job Duties

  • Assesses and measures current business processes utilizing a variety of collaborative techniques including interviews, process mapping and working sessions (Essential)
  • Evaluates business needs, analyzes current processes, assists in evaluating alternatives and recommends solutions (Essential)
  • Collaborates with business and information technology teams to ensure sufficient current and designed future state process documentation is captured (Essential)
  • Develops strong relationships with stakeholders & promotes company culture and service philosophy (Essential)
  • Supports and mentors business analysts on best practices and methodologies (Essential)
  • Leads navigating challenging or technical situations to gain clarity, broker decisions and find best business outcomes (Essential)
  • Supports assessing, prioritizing and executing strategic projects
  • Elicits business requirements utilizing collaborative techniques including interviews, work sessions, story boarding and prototyping
  • Facilitates requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders; creates process flows, develops various requirements and other artifacts
  • Measures and compiles reports on operational effectiveness and improvements introduced through technology or business process improvements
  • Creates diagrams to include use cases, activity charts and process flow diagrams
  • Evaluates and determines level of effort and time required for solution delivery to ensure completion in a timely manner
  • Facilitates requirements reviews with business and information technology teams
  • Identifies and assists in resolving issues, questions and scope/requirement gaps quickly and effectively
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Utilizes standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirements specifications
  • Conducts peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted
  • Communicates changes, enhancements and modifications of business requirements to project managers, sponsors and other stakeholders
  • Participates in design review and QA testing of proposed solutions to ensure features and functions have been enabled and optimized
  • Develops strong relationships with stakeholders, promotes company culture and service philosophy

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field (Required)
  • 5 years in minimum experience in a business analyst role (Required)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities maintaining organization and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service, negotiation, presentation and reporting skills
  • Ability to understand and translate the voice of business customers
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external developers
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and embrace change
  • Extensive knowledge of business analysis best practices and methodologies
  • Advanced proficiency in Miro or similar process mapping and diagramming tools
  • Proficiency with NetSuite is preferred but not required
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills required to meet deadlines and support multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Advanced proficiency in requirements gathering techniques, objectives and best practices
  • Required Certifications/Licensures:(IIBA or PMI-PBA Certification)
