Job Purpose
To support electric operations and deliver high quality learning experiences that meet technical, regulatory and safety learning needs through a blended learning approach and support the design and development of learning solutions. Ensure the delivery and documentation of work within the agreed timelines, schedules, quality and safety standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Providing support for supervisors, field workers, and other staff members. Ensuring they are all well-equipped to utilize all necessary systems and tools effectively.
- Develop comprehensive training guides for business applications to facilitate user understanding and efficiency. Such as Keolis, DOT (Beacon Insight & Supervision), etc.
- Participates in focus groups and training to provide time-sensitive communication and feedback to and on behalf of Field Operations
- Personal IT support - Offering IT support to individuals within the O&M department (Laptops, iPads, iPhones,OT PAW Devices, etc)
- Mobile device deployment and training
- ARCOS support - Providing support for the ARCOS system
- RollcaLL support - Assisting with support for the Rollcall system (Logins, clearing trainings, etc)
- AVLS equipment outage report - Preparing monthly reports and tracking the vehicles that require Code blue or AVLS tracking (Tickets for vehicles not responding to AVLS, coordinate Code Blue testing locally)
- Fleet Utilization - Work with supervisors to make sure vehicles/equipment are being charged appropriately
- General support and training for the following applications: Cascade, Tap talk, Aspen, Doble Database- DTA Web, EMS/ADMS, Horizon, Samsara, TOMS Maint. Sys
- Provide support for the evaluation of new test equipment and the integration of advanced field devices
- Identifying Accounting discrepancies and training crews on accurate accounting charges
- Actively engaged in Operations meetings, including staff meetings, safety meetings, specialized trainings, and EOP rollouts.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years working experience within IT, utility operations, ops coordination, or related field required
- Strong technical background in IT support and training.
- Knowledge of National Grid's business operations, company policies and practices.
- Proficient in relevant software e.g. Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). SAP, SmartApp
- Experience with one or more of the following application preferred: Cascade, Tap talk, Aspen, Doble Database- DTA Web, EMS/ADMS, Horizon, Samsara, TOMS Maint. Sys
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving history that meets National Grid's Safe Driver policy required.

Salary: $111,000 - $130,000
