Onsite Position: NY - New York, 105 Wooster Street (4 days in office; 1 day remote, Monday OR Friday) Hours: 9:45am - 6:45pm Monday through Friday, OT based on business needs. Summary: We are seeking a creative individual to join an in-house advertising and communications agency for the Xfinity brand of products and services. Primarily based in New York City, the agency produces creative content for all advertising channels, including TV, digital, social, radio, in-store, and print, as well as extensive video production for various online and in-house needs. As the Senior Copy Editor/Proofreader, you will collaborate with the creative and production teams to copy edit and proofread TV ads, print ads, OOH, retail, banners, social media, mobile applications, technical documents, newsletters, and corporate communications.Job Description
Most Days You:
- Collaborate with creative, accounts, project management, and production to review the content and layout of advertising tactics.
- Review content for spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors; format/style inconsistencies; sense and clarity.
- Make recommendations to enhance readability and conciseness.
- Align projects with brand standards and AP Stylebook.
- Perform all editorial reviews (i.e., initial full-edit through release), including cold read, word for word, check changes, fact-check, and final read at designated times in the project's life cycle.
- Attend kickoff, status, and other project-related meetings.
- Stand in for editorial manager during absences, overseeing tasks and maintaining workflow standards.
You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or Communications.
- 4-7+ years of experience in copy editing and proofreading, preferably within an agency environment.
- Excellent editing and proofreading skills with a diligent eye for detail, language, flow, and grammar.
- Knowledge of AP Stylebook.
- Ability to understand brand and style guidelines and apply them to copy.
- Proficiency in Workfront Proof, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Microsoft Office 365 a plus.

- Collaborate with diverse partners to ensure the content will provide a consistent experience across our products.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Salary:
Primary Location Pay Range: $33.49 - $50.23
