Are you ready for the opportunity of a lifetime?  If so, we are hiring a Credit Analyst who will be responsible for managing the company’s financial risk of extending credit for specific business units and promote strong cash collections by properly enforcing customers payment terms.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage credit and collection activities for portfolio of business unit(s) including processing new credit applications by reviewing credit data and approving credit limits for new and existing customers up to $500K.
  • Ensure compliance of payment terms, timely dispute resolution, and perform account reconciliation by reviewing aging reports weekly. Schedule frequent communication with sales and operations to coordinate plan for corrective action.
  • Address delinquent payments by contacting customers and work with internal business partners to resolve customer issues where necessary.
  • Monitor for signs of financial problems and report to immediate manager an action plan to mitigate
  • Prepare and follow through payment schedules for customers who need temporary extended payment
  • Validate orders, which are placed on hold by ERP at the time of order
  • Ensure credit exposure for ongoing customers are maintained within their approved
  • Build new and strengthen existing relationships with customers, both internal and
  • Assist immediate manager in presenting credit related training
  • Prepare monthly reports of past due accounts and other various reports as
  • Effectively negotiate in complex customer situations with assistance from immediate
  • Recommend and implement credit and operational processes & procedures for continuous improvements by collaborating with various departments including leveraging technology where appropriate.
  • Provide accurate customer trade
  • Promote sales growth by using discretion and professional judgement to prevent credit & collection efforts from adversely affecting customer relations.
  • Fulfill employee portion of the “Berlin T-Chart”.
  • Meet or exceed individual KPI goals with which include, but not limited to DSO, % current, Bad Debt Expense, and Cash Collections
  • Other duties assigned by

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or finance or the equivalent experience
  • Three plus (3+) years of relevant commercial credit and collection experience
  • Basic accounting, financial statement, and bankruptcy
  • Intermediate/Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Follow-up skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and possesses a high sense of urgency
  • Performs work under minimal Handles complex issues and problems and only refers the most complex issues to higher-level staff
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a group setting with minimal supervision
  • Strong business judgment and knowledge of credit and collection tools and techniques
  • Ability to effectively communicate to all audiences
  • Ability and desire to motivate team members whether a direct report or
  • Interpersonal effectiveness and time management Must be able to work independently as well as in a group setting with minimal supervision
  • Strong business judgment and knowledge of credit and collection tools and techniques

Working Environment:

  • Hybrid work schedule in a corporate office environment at our headquarters in downtown Chicago.  We are currently located at 525 W. Monroe in the West Loop.  We will be relocating to a new office space in the Merchandise Mart in January 2026.
  • Limited travel is required
IL Base Pay Range$68,000—$75,000 USD
