Senior Manager, SAI Investment Operations

The Role

The Senior Manager, Investment Operations will be responsible for providing exceptional managed account support of the day-to-day operations and critical oversight for the retail managed account business within Strategic Advisors (SAI). This individual will provide expertise in operational processes, identify and mitigate issues, improve processes for efficiency and scale purposes, and collaborate across SAI and with other business units to maintain and improve the operating model. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Provide investment operations support for retail managed account offerings including release and trade monitoring, trade corrections, account support including inquiry management, SMA model blending and corporate actions monitoring.
  • Lead issue resolution for technology issues impacting trading.
  • Identify and implement process improvements or automation to increase efficiency and support growing volumes
  • Proactively identify and escalate issues, ensuring clear understanding of root cause and client impact.
  • Be the operational lead on projects and product initiatives ensuring operational readiness of upcoming changes.
  • Oversee daily operations by highlighting issues, ensuring thorough resolution of complex questions, and providing robust training for junior associates.
  • Produce and review operational policies & procedures to ensure change are incorporated timely
  • Represent SAI Investment Operations in cross company meetings including with channel partners and the investment, technology and compliance teams.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 6+ years working experience, preferably in Operations
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Solid business and technical understanding of operations or processing
  • Preferred data analytics skills with the ability to leverage tools such as SQL, Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI
  • Highly organized with strong attention to details
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Team player who takes initiative and works constructively with others to achieve team goals
  • Intellectually curious with a desire to continuously learn and grow
  • Proven ability, flexibility, and resourcefulness to manage multiple high-priority, highly visible deliverables in a dynamic and deadline driven environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly proficient with MS Office, Outlook, FBSI, Vestmark, and Xtrac (Expert level encouraged)

Strategic Advisers - SAI Investment Operations - Retail (Goal & Account Management)

The SAI Investment Operations team, is a central organization within Strategic Advisers, responsible for leading the front office operations for SAI's ~2.5 million retail client accounts by supporting the day-to-day operations and critical oversight for goals and account management. This team collaborates across the business and with channel partners to ensure end-to-end excellence of operational processes in support of trading, the investment teams, and our clients.

The base salary range for this position is $81,000-$137,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
