Responsible for leading and managing all aspects of manufacturing support operations. Oversees and effectively manages, plans, and secures resources to support daily manufacturing activities, including maintenance, engineering, environmental health and safety (EHS), and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensures operations are efficient, safe, and of high quality, aligned with organizational goals and standards.Job Description
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety protocols are met.
- Manage workforce planning, shift scheduling, and labor compliance.
- Oversee material flow, inventory accuracy, and asset utilization across the facility.
- Ensure safe work practices, regulatory compliance, and adherence to environmental health and safety (EHS) standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing tools and operational excellence strategies.
- Facilitate training programs and ensure compliance with applicable quality systems and standards.
- Direct maintenance and engineering activities, including preventive and corrective programs to support operational reliability.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Evaluate market research and regulatory trends to support product and process innovation.
- Manage departmental budgets and expenditures to meet financial targets.
- Optimize facility layout, equipment design, and space utilization for operational efficiency.
- Develop and mentor staff, fostering a culture of engagement, development, and accountability.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree.
Certification / Licensure
Work Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, distribution, or continuous improvement; 2 years of management experience.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Willing to travel at least/up to 20% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
- Able to work a full early and late shift plus weekends a minimum of once a month.
- Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds with the ability to stand or walk for prolong periods of time.
- Ability to work in hot and cold environments (32F – 95F).
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or engineering related discipline.
Certification / Licensure
- Technical certifications; six sigma, lean manufacturing, kaizen, black belt certification is a plus.

The anticipated salary range for this position:
$132,600.00 - $199,160.00 AnnualThe actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
