Job Description
Our Financial Services client is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join their team for the next 12 months, 40 hours/week. This role is hybrid onsite 4 days a week in Austin, TX.
Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Product Designer with deep expertise in enterprise content management systems, content authoring workflows, and user experience design. This role will be embedded within a MarTech Planning and Enablement team and will focus on designing intuitive, scalable, and efficient authoring experiences within a headless CMS environment, including Sanity Studio.
The ideal candidate will partner closely with marketers, content strategists, communication designers, product managers, architects, and engineers to simplify complex workflows, establish scalable UX standards, and deliver solutions that improve content operations across the entire content lifecycle. This individual will leverage user-centered design principles, research, and systems thinking to create experiences that drive platform adoption, operational efficiency, and long-term scalability.
Top Must Have Skills
7+ years of Product Design, UX Design, Service Design, or related experience, including 3+ years designing content authoring experiences within headless CMS platforms.
Deep experience designing enterprise applications, workflow-driven platforms, content management systems, or digital experience platforms.
Expertise in headless CMS solutions such as Sanity Studio or Contentful, including content authoring, publishing workflows, governance, and content lifecycle management.
Strong proficiency in user-centered design, interaction design, information architecture, usability testing, and workflow optimization.
Advanced experience creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma and modern design tools.
Demonstrated success simplifying complex operational workflows and business processes through thoughtful UX design.
Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills within Agile environments.
Additional Qualifications
Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design across complex enterprise business challenges.
Experience translating content models, design systems, governance requirements, metadata, taxonomy, and component architectures into intuitive authoring experiences.
Understanding of content operations, structured content principles, localization, digital asset management, and content reuse strategies.
Experience establishing and evolving UX standards, interaction patterns, UI components, and enterprise design frameworks.
Ability to balance business requirements, governance needs, operational efficiency, technical constraints, and user needs.

Product Design and User Experience
Design intuitive content authoring, editing, review, approval, and publishing experiences within a headless CMS environment.
Create user flows, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to support product development and stakeholder alignment.
Define and evolve authoring interaction patterns, UX standards, and design principles that support scalable content operations.
Balance user needs, business objectives, governance requirements, and technical constraints to deliver effective solutions.
Partner with design system and experience teams to translate customer-facing components and patterns into authoring tools, controls, previews, and workflows.
Content Authoring and Workflow Design
Collaborate with content strategists, marketers, UX designers, and platform teams to understand content creation and publishing requirements.
Design authoring experiences that support content models, metadata, taxonomy, governance, localization, and content reuse.
Streamline workflows to reduce manual effort, improve usability, and increase operational efficiency.
Establish scalable authoring patterns that support platform growth and evolving organizational needs.
Improve content creation, review, approval, and publishing processes through workflow and interaction design.
Research and Validation
Conduct discovery activities to identify user needs, workflow challenges, and operational pain points.
Gather and synthesize user feedback, analytics, research findings, and usability testing results to inform design decisions.
Validate concepts, prototypes, and solutions with stakeholders and end users.
Continuously improve platform usability, adoption, and effectiveness through qualitative and quantitative insights.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Content Strategists, Engineers, Architects, and Design teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure solutions are technically feasible, scalable, and aligned with platform capabilities.
Facilitate workshops and working sessions to align stakeholders on requirements, workflows, and user experience decisions.
Advocate for user-centered design and content-first thinking while balancing business priorities and delivery timelines.
Drive alignment across teams to deliver scalable, business-ready capabilities that improve content velocity, quality, and operational effectiveness.
