Position Summary

The Sr. Salesforce Developer plays an important role in the organization by performing a number of activities related to the company’s Retail Sales Division. The role is primarily responsible, under limited supervision, for providing system support, user administration and configuration of the various sales systems, best practices guidance to team members and other stakeholders, and experienced subject matter expertise on the features and functionality of the Salesforce CRM platform. Additionally, the role will be responsible for administering all appropriate tools in the Salesforce platform toolbox to deliver value to the organization (Apex, LWC, Aura Components, Flows, Custom Objects/Fields, Formulas, etc.)

Compensation

This role is an exempt position with a Targeted Salary Range of $83,000 - $125,000 annually.

Compensation at Guild is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to local and federal minimum wage requirements, education, level of experience, and applicant’s geographical location.

Essential Functions

  • Apply advanced Salesforce features to meet business needs as defined in committed user stories, including, but not limited to: Apex, Flows, LWC, Aura Components, Lightning Page Builder, SOQL queries, Custom Objects and Fields, Flow Builder, etc.
  • Identify areas for improvement and suggest solutions to Product Owner for system enhancement.
  • Function as an experienced SME in all declarative and programmatic functionality of the Salesforce platform.
  • Improve the efficiency of the Salesforce team through automation by building tools and frameworks that reduce effort required to perform daily tasks, administer support ticket types, and additional development activities to include dev tooling, writing tests, seeding test data, executing apex in async, etc.
  • Collaborate with Business Analyst and stakeholders to identify comprehensive requirements for User Stories to ensure the features are built reliably and efficiently.
  • Drive solution design on committed User Stories in collaboration with other and Jr. Salesforce Developers to produce solutions that are consistent with agreed upon best practice design patterns and maximize simplicity and scalability.
  • Collect changes and maintain version control repository of Salesforce metadata to enable independent and parallel development effort on multiple User Stories.
  • Conduct weekly Salesforce Releases and analyze version control to review accuracy prior to release night.
  • Document and maintain knowledge articles and other documentation for support and business processes as executed in the Salesforce platform, including any impacts from other integrated Guild applications.
  • Investigate, prepare, and execute bulk data corrections and additions in Salesforce such as finding incorrect data, performing cross-dept transfers, and supporting acquisition data migrations.
  • Monitor and resolve escalated support events (Incidents, Change Requests, & Problems) in compliance with established Service Level Objectives (SLO’s).
  • Stay abreast of new Salesforce Trailhead developments, continuously learning and applying knowledge to ensure ongoing professional growth.
  • Mentor other developers by showing them how complete features work and how to debug Encourage other developers to build things that are challenging and assist with refining those builds.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in computer, business, or a related field to the position or equivalent, required.
  • Minimum five years' experience.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer 1 and Salesforce Platform App Builder Certification.
  • Prior mortgage banking or related field preferred.
  • Nuanced understanding of Salesforce technology, and data structures / database design.
  • Strong background with usability and/or training on human computer interactions and workflow best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate user’s needs to working solutions.
  • Experience with software development & testing; including user stories, test cases, and bug reporting/validation.
  • Independent, self-starter with the demonstrated ability to learn/adapt to new technologies and techniques.
  • Passionate about delivering excellence in customer service within a team environment and works well with geographically dispersed teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills required.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Wiki, collaborative cloud-based programs, and third-party software applications required.

  • Audio/Visual: Ability to accurately interpret sounds and associated meanings at a volume consistent with interpersonal conversation. Regularly required to accurately perceive, distinguish and interpret information received visually and through audio; e.g., words, numbers and other data broadcasted aloud/viewed on a screen, as well as print and other media.
  • Environmental:  Office environment – moderate noise, no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
