About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Securities Operations Specialist as part of the Trust Account Opening and Maintenance team within Wealth and Investment Management Operations. This team supports the account opening process for Wells Fargo trust accounts and serves as an escalation point for trust officers, financial advisors, and clients. The team is also responsible for day-to-day asset maintenance, providing account governance and reporting and meeting compliance standards set by regulators.
The Senior Securities Operations Specialist will field requests from the onboarding team to open new accounts and ensure the firm’s trust and agency account administration while providing best-in-class trust services experience for advisors and clients. In this role, you will:
Coordinate with business partners regarding investment management issues
Review and setup agency, custody, IRA and trust accounts to ensure compliance with internal company requirements and/or government regulations.
Conduct post-opening reviews for recently opened accounts
Identify issues and research across jurisdictions
Review and analyze large, complex business trust asset portfolio challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
Review probate and trust estates following the death of an existing Wells Fargo client
Oversee complex, unique needs of estates and trusts during the death settlement process
Resolve moderately complex trust asset portfolio issues and lead Fiduciary team to meet servicing deliverables
Ensure that the probate estate or trust account is managed in compliance with the governing document, bank policy and procedure, as well as with statutory and common law requirements
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Fiduciary Products experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
4+ years of Trust or Brokerage experience
2+ years of new account opening or onboarding experience
Ability to develop, retain, and manage client relationships
Ability to effectively assess stakeholder, partner, or client needs while consulting, building solutions, and developing processes
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation
Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) skills
Job Expectations:
