Legend Biotech is seeking a Senior Specialist, Benefits as part of the Human Resources team based in Somerset, NJ.

Role Overview

The Senior Specialist, US Benefits, will play a crucial role in managing and administering the company's benefits programs. This position will ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, provide excellent customer service to employees, and support the US Benefits Manager in strategic planning and execution of benefits initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Benefits Administration: Oversee the day-to-day administration of health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans.
  • Leave of Absence Administration: Manage leave of absence programs, including FMLA, short-term disability, and other leave policies.
  • Worker's Compensation: Administer worker's compensation claims and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Compliance: Ensure all benefits programs comply with federal and state laws, including ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and ACA.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the payroll team and internal audit team to ensure accurate benefits deductions and reporting in a timely manner. Employee Support: Provide guidance and support to employees regarding benefits inquiries and issues.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with benefits vendors and brokers to manage relationships and ensure service levels are met.
  • Open Enrollment: Assist the annual open enrollment process, including communication, system updates, and employee education.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze benefits data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of benefits policies and procedures.
  • Project Management: Support the US Benefits Manager in various benefits projects and initiatives.
  • Global Mobility: Support global mobility initiatives, including expatriate benefits and domestic relocation assistance.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in benefits administration, with a strong understanding of US benefits regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Certifications: CEBS, PHR, or SHRM-CP certification.
