Position Title: Senior Systems Analyst

Job Description:

Provide end user application and technical support to financial applications, with a focus on data support, to meet the needs of our Sales, Client Servicing, and Product Management teams. As part of Client Platform Technology team, be responsible for working with our global team members to resolve support inquires, establishing standard operating procedures, providing comprehensive user support, and identify enhancements to improve system performance and stability. Manipulate data sets using data warehouse tools, including Snowflake. Provide training to application support analysts to expand their ability to resolve common data issues and manipulate large data sets more efficiently. Contribute to department wide projects and dig into more complex areas. Provide analysis with a broader scope including alternative and multi-asset asset classes. Assimilate technical and business concepts quickly and manage multiple competing priorities. Utilize agile methodologies to enhance client-facing financial domain technologies. Enhance metrics report and get useful insights from the reports to help with decision-making of senior management. Work with a global team of support members to resolve end user support requests and technical application support issues. Independently conduct impact analysis, root cause analysis and suggest feasible resolutions. Collaborate with data governance team and tech incident oversight board to ensure data integrity and accuracy in client reporting. Take the initiative to set controls and find solutions for recurring issues. Get exposure to domain knowledge and data in other platforms including investment platform and trading platform. Collaborate with support teams from other platforms to streamline the workflows in support orbit. Position is fixed location based in Boston office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed.

Job Requirements:

Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematical Finance, Economics or a directly related field, plus three (3) years of experience delivering support services on multiple projects in the financial or asset management industry

Must have three (3) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • Providing technical data support and creating support documentation
  • Analytical experience on enhancements to existing systems
  • Oracle/SQL Server relational database and tools, including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database or MySQL
  • Analyzing, aggregating and transforming data with programming languages VBA or Python
  • Utilizing a data dictionary application, including Collibra to find, understand, and trust financial data

Must have two (2) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • Planning and analysis following a standardized methodology
  • Working with engineers, analysts, business stakeholders, and infrastructure teams to complete and deliver Information Technology projects
  • Core project managements skills including plan development, risk management, and team building
  • Parsing JSON structures using Tableau, Postman or REST API
  • Data warehouse tools, including Snowflake
  • BI Tools for modifying reports and performing analytical calculations, including Tableau or Birst

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm, Salary: $138,000 - 145,000/year.
