Job Description

Our agency client is looking for a full-time, fully remote SEO Director to lead the strategic direction and daily operations of their SEO department, ensuring exceptional client outcomes, team development, and finding ways to continue to innovate on SEO strategies to bring to success to 100+ clients. This role is responsible for driving performance, managing senior SEO staff, and expanding the agency's SEO capabilities.

SEO Director Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the agency's SEO strategy and vision by adapting to, and staying ahead of, industry trends
- Oversee SEO Managers and ensure high-quality client deliverables
- Drive client retention and satisfaction through performance monitoring and addressing client feedback proactively
- Lead enterprise-level SEO initiatives (e.g., migrations, Core Web Vitals, international SEO) through technical SEO expertise
- Implement scalable systems and cutting-edge tools to improve efficiency
- Expand SEO capabilities in new markets while adhering to local best practices
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support integrated marketing efforts

SEO Director Requirements
- 7+ years of SEO experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
- Proven success in client retention and team management
- Expertise in technical, on-page, local, and off-page SEO
- Strong communication and strategic thinking skills
- Experience in legal, medical, or dental marketing preferred
- Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude to enhance SEO workflows
