SEO/GEO Operations Specialist

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled GenAI & SEO Operations Contractor to support the integration of GenAI & search optimizations into our enterprise organic strategy and across our websites. This role will focus on building and operationalizing scalable SEO and GenAI workflows, implementing GenAI and SEO projects in AEM, and driving measurable improvements in search visibility. The contractor will work cross-functionally to support & implement projects in AEM, help establish testing frameworks, and improve discoverability across priority therapeutic areas.

Location: Remote 
Start Date: Late March 2026
Engagement: Freelance, 40 hours/week through December 31, 2026 with potential to extend

Key Responsibilities

• Help support team with auditing current site content and architecture for GenAI visibility opportunities.
• Support and Develop actionable recommendations to improve AI citation potential, structured data implementation, and high-intent content performance.
• Help provide guidance & support on optimizing content for AI-powered search experiences (e.g., AI Overviews, conversational queries, answer
  engines).
• Monitor evolving AI search trends and identify implications for content and technical SEO strategy.
• Identify technical SEO enhancements related to crawlability, indexation, internal linking, and structured markup.
• Help develop a structured testing roadmap (content structure, schema, internal linking, high-intent page builds).
• Analyze performance data and help provide regular insights and optimization recommendations.
• Surface new growth opportunities to expand share of voice.
• Partner with content, paid search, analytics, brand, and regulatory stakeholders to align on priorities and implementation timelines.
• Support agency coordination as needed to ensure seamless execution.
• Translate technical SEO and GenAI insights into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
• Deliverables Could Include:
  • Implementing Meta Data, Schema, Alt Tags and Canonical Tags within AEM.
  • Support Technical SEO audits and work with dev team for implementation.
  • Create process documents for our GenAI tools and processes.
  • Meeting with dev, accessibility, tech and product managers to push through GenAI deliverables & strategy.
  • Pull weekly GenAI & SEO news for leadership informs.

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience, including technical and content strategy while also demonstrating an understanding of AI-driven search
      environments and emerging GenAI ranking factors.
    • Experience in AEM and Site Optimizer from an implementation and recommendation perspective.
    • Experience building operational workflows and scalable optimization frameworks.
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
    • Experience in healthcare or regulated industries preferred.
