Customers are still migrating or END of migration from expiration of 2019 and add sharepoint subscription onpremise to have more time for ultimate migration of sharepoint ONLINE so the customers are working toward sharepoint subscription edition through July which is why we need new candidates with point sharepoint on-premise. Most sharepoint onpremis DO know sharepoint online. prioritize sharepoint ON PREM and then move to sharepoint online bc they will go hand in hand. Must have PowerShell experience / powershell scripting for migration tools. (2019 to subscription migration). migrations from sharepoint onpremise to sharepoint online could be any on-prem version.
SharePoint Customer Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking highly skilled and experienced SharePoint Customer Engineers to assist Microsoft enterprise customers with managing and overseeing SharePoint Online and SharePoint on-premises environments. The ideal candidate will provide best practice guidance to Microsoft enterprise customers to help ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of their SharePoint Online and SharePoint on-premises platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of SharePoint architecture, administration, best practices, as well as Sharepoint troubleshooting experience and capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Administration and Management: Provide best practice guidance on day-to-day administration, support, and maintenance of the SharePoint Online and SharePoint on-premises environments.
- Deployment and Configuration: Provide guidance to Microsoft enterprise customers as they plan, design, deploy, and configure SharePoint solutions to meet business requirements.
- Security Management: Provide guidance to customers as they implement and manage security features withing Microsoft 365 to ensure the protection of SharePoint data and resources.
- Migration: Provide guidance to customers as they manage the migration of content from SharePoint on premises to SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business.
- Help customers troubleshoot and gather information to help determine root cause of issues and problems that may occur in SharePoint Online and SharePoint on-premises environments.
- Performance Monitoring: Provide best practice guidance for monitoring SharePoint system performance, identifying issues, and executing performance tuning and optimization as needed.
- Training: Delivery training sessions and knowledge transfer to IT Admins and stakeholders on SharePoint features, functionalities, and best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with various teams, including IT, business units, and external vendors, to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
Technical Requirements
- In-depth knowledge and experience in working with SharePoint Online architecture, configuration, and administration.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for SharePoint administration.
- Experience with SharePoint Online migration tools and techniques.
- Understanding and experience with managing and maintaining SharePoint on-premises farms and servers.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with strong customer relations skills.
