Job Description

The Software Engineer I directs and oversees the company's software engineering function in developing, releasing, and maintaining software applications and operating systems according to business needs. Defines and creates future software business and leads the day-to-day management of software development. Develops policies and procedures to produce high-quality software product and service. Responsible for ensuring software deliverables meet availability and performance goals, publishing metrics, and driving continuous improvement. Provides technical guidance and resolves conflicts with technical approach, designs, and coding practices. Applies industry trends in technology, tools, and practices to improve the productivity and quality of software development.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or a closely related occupation. The position also requires demonstrated knowledge and experience with the following: containerization and orchestration technologies Kubernetes and Docker containers; Cloud deployment experience and/or CI/CD experience; designing, building and optimizing data pipelines and ETL processes; working with large datasets; data storage technologies; data ingestion systems; optimizing performance for handling large-scale data processing and analysis; and database systems. Experience may be gained through a combination of education, internships and/or employment.
