Position Overview:
The selected Software Engineer - Level 2 responsibilities will include the support of the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor on the SPA Test Exerciser (TEx) team. This role is responsible for developing software products that directly support the design and development of the GWS capability on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
Essential Functions:
• Success in this role requires demonstrated experience maturing/developing models and interfaces using C++ and XML
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/teams comprised of all experience levels.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of relevant work experience; or a Masters Degree in STEM and 0 years of work experience.
• Demonstrated experience developing models and interfaces for TEx / ITEx
• Demonstrated experience programming in C, C++ and Python with the ability to interpret other languages such as JAVA or ADA
• Demonstrated experience using software version control tools such as Git, BitBucket, and Artifactory
• Demonstrated ability to think critically and capture concepts in work products, presentations, and discussions.
• Fluency with XML
• Experience with the System Engineering Lifecycle and artifacts as they related to modeling and simulation (for example ICDs, SDDs, etc.)
• Strong understanding of the BMDS
• Must possess good communication skills.
• Capable of working both independently and within a team environment.
• Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Unit Test and System Test Development
• Experience developing software for hardware in the loop applications
• Familiarity or Experience with the Ground Test Integrated Simulation System (GTISS) and Single Stimulation Framework (SSF)
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

Primary Level Salary Range: $87,600.00 - $131,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
