The Sr. Customer Marketing Partner, Community is responsible for fostering strong, trust-based client relationships while developing and managing a thriving customer community, both online and in-person. This role creates, implements, and coordinates community and retention strategies aimed at enhancing client engagement, boosting product adoption, facilitating meaningful touchpoints through user groups and meetups, and minimizing churn risk. Working cross-functionally with product, marketing, content, and customer experience teams, this role ensures our community programs deliver value, generate actionable insights, and support a best-in-class customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the strategy, expansion, and evolution of Thryv’s online customer community to drive increased engagement, product adoption, loyalty, and retention.
  • Owns the day-to-day management of the online community, including content planning, moderation, communication cadence, and user experience optimization.
  • Develops community frameworks, playbooks, guidelines, and scalable processes that support all customer segments across Thryv.
  • Designs and executes in-person user groups, meetups, and community events that promote connection, learning, and peer-to-peer support.
  • Cultivates strong customer relationships to nurture a pipeline of community contributors, advocates, speakers, and leaders.
  • Creates and manages engagement programs (such as polls, challenges, discussions, spotlights AMAs etc.) that encourage client participation and consistent value exchange.
  • Establishes clear success metrics for community health, engagement, and retention impact. Monitors analytics, tracks performance, analyzes trends, and delivers regular reports and recommendations to leadership.  Translates insights into actionable strategies that enhance the customer experience, increase retention, and improve overall community value.
  • Partners cross-functionally with Product, CX, Marketing, Sales, and Partner teams to ensure community initiatives align with business goals and integrate across channels.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent), or equivalent experience, required.
  • 5+ years of related experience, required.
  • 9+ years of related experience, preferred.
  • 8+ years of related experience in marketing and community management, preferred.
  • B2B and SaaS experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret metrics, identify trends, and develop data-driven recommendations.
  • Proven track record of building and managing successful customer communities, including driving engagement, retention, and advocacy. A passion for community-building, customer connection, and leveraging engagement to drive business outcomes.
  • Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to implement creative and innovative solutions.
  • Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize effectively, and self-direct in a fast-moving environment.
  • Effective project management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product, CX, Marketing, and Sales.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport, collaborate across the organization, and effectively influence clients and other external business partners.
  • Technical acumen with the ability to utilize various industry related tools (such as Mighty Networks, Khoros, Gainsight, Higher Logic, or equivalent).
  • Ability to travel less than 5% of the time.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment screening process, as required.
  • Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses, as needed.

Pay Transparency

The base salary for this position is $80k to $90k USD per year in most US locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
