If so, we are hiring a Senior Manager, Accounting & Global Consolidations at our corporate headquarters in downtown Chicago which is a key role in our Controllers organization that helps our Company continue to drive improvement through organic and acquisitive growth. This position will play a key role in analyzing financial results for our Americas business unit as well as managing all aspects of our Global consolidation and financial reporting process.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Day-to-Day Accounting Activities: Responsible for managing America’s monthly close process, including supervision of staff accountants, review and analysis of key financial statement accounts, as well as review and approval of account reconciliations. This role will regularly interface with America’s business units, the America’s Finance team, and Berlin Leadership to manage the monthly reporting of Berlin’s financial results under US GAAP.
- Global Consolidations & Financial Reporting: This role is responsible for preparing the Company’s Global consolidated financial statements, including coordination and review of key deliverables from EMEA and APAC Finance teams. Further, the Senior Manager, Accounting & Global Consolidations is also responsible for the preparation and distribution of the monthly Global GAAP Consolidation Package for distribution to Berlin Senior Leadership.
- Consolidation System: This role will be responsible for serving as the key liaison between FP&A and Accounting to administer, configure and troubleshoot issues within the Onestream consolidation system, in addition to evaluating current processes and procedures with a lens toward streamlining cumbersome or manually intensive work.
- Teamwork: Ability to be flexible, multi-task, and effectively communicate well with the Controllers group as well as Finance teams across Berlin’s Global footprint.
- Annual Financial Statements: Manage process for preparing Berlin’s Annual Financial Statements, including coordination and preparation of footnote support across the Americas, EMEA, & APAC.
- Audit: Participate in all facets of the annual audit.
- Fulfill employee portion of the Berlin Values.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA required, MBA preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of industry / financial reporting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting, financial processes, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Proven technical accounting skills and a strong process orientation.
- Outstanding communicator; proven ability and desire to interface cross-functionally, and with outside service providers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and financial software systems, including Excel, Power BI and other data management capabilities.
- Detail and project oriented with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Experience with Onestream consolidation system highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Accounting is highly preferred.
