Under the direction of the division Vice President-HR, the Sr Mgr-HR directs, coordinates and administers all human resources activities such as employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, training, and employee services in the assigned division.Job Description
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement the organization's human resource strategy so that the organization attracts, manages, develops and retains the employees it needs to achieve its current and future business objectives.
- Recommend and implement personnel policies and procedures; review and maintain handbook on policies and procedures; oversee benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness, information activities program and cash flow.
- Ensure HR operates in accordance with federal, state, and local employment requirements, e.g., Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Title VII, etc.
- Lead implementation of people-related services, policies, and programs through Human Resources staff. Assist and advise division managers about Human Resources issues.
- Administer processes and metrics that support the achievement of the organization's business goals.
- Counsel and assist business leaders to maintain, identify and implement actions that improve or maintain a positive employee relations environment. Identify any internal and external factors that may affect employee retention; address these issues by working in concert with managers/supervisors to develop proactive strategies to meet or exceed turnover goals.
- Conduct internal audits of employee relations issues to identify possible violations and make recommendations of appropriate actions to resolve issues.
- Support and manage recruitment and selection of candidates. Recruit, interview, test and select candidates to fill key division positions including all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and temporary employees. Plan and conduct new-employee orientations; monitor career-pathing program, employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing; write and place advertisements.
- Administer and maintain affirmative action program. File EEO-1 annually; maintain other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
- Work with managers to develop proactive training plans that prepare employees to meet current and future business objectives. Compile data and analyze past and current year training requirements. Recommend training programs and utilization to support employee and management development.
- Develop and mentor key division staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies.
- Administer the Company's compensation programs. Prepare job descriptions as necessary. Participate salary surveys and assist managers in developing and administering the merit pay program to ensure pay consistency and equity. Monitor and administer the performance evaluation program.
- Administer and manage the Company's EHS programs and policies. Assist managers with current Worker's Compensation issues. Take lead role in ensuring that employees are returned to work as soon as possible. Monitor any and all restricted duty assignments. Review each claim to determine if corrective action is required.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor's degree.
Relevant Work Experience
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources positions.
Additional
- Experience applying knowledge of human resource policies and procedures as well as federal and state laws.
- Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within an organization.
- Experience in reviewing and reconnecting on actions and with people to ensure the completion of the task.
- Experience in controlling and coordinating concurrent projects, competing priorities and critical deadlines.
- Willing to travel up to 20% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Relevant Work Experience
- At least 3 years of experience managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating and directing people as they work.
Certification / Licensure
- PHR or SPHR.

The anticipated salary range for this position:
$115,440.00 - $173,160.00 AnnualThe actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
