Overview of the Role:
• Organize, prioritize, plan, schedule, and execute HR projects and initiatives in support of business initiatives within the Maritime/Land System and Sensors division and it's growing talent.
• Consult and assist in the implementation of HR strategy, programs and policies including talent identification, performance management, employee relations, compensation, reward and recognition, succession planning, organization and staff development, leadership/bench strength development, staffing and other areas within the HR body of knowledge.
• Diagnose organizational needs and develop practical, creative/innovative, data-driven solutions to increase team and organizational performance and advance the business strategy.
• Ensure solutions are effectively implemented and sustained.
Job responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
• Establishing intimate understanding of the business, build and expand relationships with client leadership teams, and create close partnerships across HR, centers of excellence (COE's), finance, and functional organizations
• Identifying, sourcing, mining and analyzing key data to inform decisions and creating the narrative to tell the story to executive leadership allowing for decisioning which will drive key business outcomes
• Supporting and partnering with HR colleagues, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, employee relations, diversity and inclusion and organizational effectiveness to support talent strategies
• Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities within the organization and develop solutions in partnership with division and matrix leadership, COE and site HR business leadership
• Analyzing and concisely presenting information to the management team to enable business growth and sound decision making
• Oversee key projects from inception to completion, ensuring they align with organizational objectives and timelines. Identify potential project risks and recommend mitigation strategies
• Advising leadership on new ideas and winning practices in the areas of talent acquisition, assessment, development, compensation, organizational effectiveness, strategy, on-boarding, employee engagement and retention, change management and communications
• Provide support to senior HR leadership, including agenda preparation and following up on action items
• Monitor and track critical organizational issues and initiatives, providing relevant updates and recommendations to senior leadership
• Handle sensitive employee data, organizational changes, and strategic plans with discretion and integrity
• Providing business insight through data analysis, research and benchmarking
• Develop executivelevel presentations
• Collaborate with HR leaders to shape longterm plans and strategies, leveraging data analysis of market trends
• Conduct data analysis and manipulation, generate dashboards, and interpret the resulting insights
• Manage special projects and initiatives as directed
Basic Qualifications - Senior Principal HR Project Management:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resource management, Organization Development, Industrial Organizational Psychology, or related field required plus 8+ years of relevant experience - OR - 6+ years of relevant experience with a Master's degree.
• Demonstrated experience planning and executing projects.
• Understanding and application of HR principles, concepts, policies and practices.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with and influence others.
• Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Proven ability to support cross-functional projects to completion including organizing, planning, scheduling and following up on project related items.
• US citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working on complex duties in a high-impact, time sensitive environment.
• Working knowledge of HRIS platforms and technology, with preferred applications experience in Workday and Saba Learning Exchange (LX).
• Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to be flexible and adjust direction when needed.
• Leadership coaching skills and knowledge of human and adult learning principles a plus.
• Experience in proactive HR assessment, diagnosis and solutioning of business challenges.
• Ability to navigate cultural and business nuances/sensitivities to promote top performance, employee engagement and inclusion.
Primary Level Salary Range: $106,800.00 - $162,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
