Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Senior Principal Project Manager based in Sunnyvale, CA with our Launcher Program Support organization within the Proposal Management group.
What you will get to do:
• Lead/support proposal activities including:
•
• Development of the Request for Proposal (RFP) package
• Assigning and tracking completion of Labor, Travel, and Material estimates
• Auditing estimates for accuracy, completeness, and pricing strategy
• Managing scope and artifact changes through disciplined process
• Development and maintenance of proposal schedule
• Lead/support Fact Finding activities
• Support Negotiation activities
• Support strategic long term planning
• Serve as liaison between Program Managers, Pricing Analysts, Estimators, Contract Administrators, Supply Chain, and external partners
• Resolve issues in accordance with business objectives, strategies, legal requirements, regulations, contract terms, and company policies
• Maintain excellent communication skills while flowing information both up to leadership and out to the program and proposal teams
• Multi-task and manage conflicting priorities in a schedule driven environment
• Participate in process improvement activities
Basic Qualifications for the Sr. Principal Project Manager:
• Bachelors degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience; OR a Master's degree with 6 or more years of relevant work experience
• Experience working with cross-functional organizations (Program Office, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business Management, Field Operations, etc.)
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite
• The ability to obtain and maintain active DoD Secret clearance
• US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications for the Sr. Principal Project Manager:
• Experience developing or participating in proposals
• Experience with customer compliance documents, government instructions, and government standards
• Experience with government contracts and related documents
• Experience using JIRA and Confluence for project management
Primary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
