Senior Project Manager – Connexall Implementation (Housekeeping & Portering)14‑Month Contract (Part‑Time)
Apex Systems is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager for a 14‑month, part‑time contract to provide project leadership and oversight for the implementation of Connexall as the replacement solution for TeleTracking Housekeeping and Portering workflows.
This role is accountable for the end‑to‑end delivery of a mission‑critical operational platform supporting patient flow, environmental services, portering, and clinical communication.
Project OverviewThis initiative focuses on expanding an enterprise‑grade integration and communication platform to address operational inefficiencies, fragmented workflows, and technology limitations across environmental services, portering, and clinical communication. The objective is to modernize and consolidate critical workflows into a single, integrated solution that improves operational efficiency, staff experience, and patient outcomes while reducing long‑term technology cost and risk.
Overall AccountabilityApex Systems is seeking a Senior Project Manager who will be directly accountable for providing part‑time project leadership and oversight over a 14‑month contract for the implementation of Connexall as the replacement solution for TeleTracking Housekeeping and Portering workflows.
The Senior PM will lead the initiative from project initiation through go‑live and stabilization, ensuring a successful transition from TeleTracking while maintaining operational continuity. You will establish and sustain strong project governance, integrated planning, financial oversight, and delivery controls to ensure the solution is implemented on time, within budget, and fully operationally ready.
Role SummaryThe Senior Project Manager will have full ownership of the Connexall replacement initiative throughout the 14‑month engagement, including governance establishment, integrated planning, risk and issue management, vendor coordination, and executive‑level reporting.
You will work through designated workstream leads (clinical, operational, technical, change, data, and vendor) responsible for detailed execution, while retaining accountability for overall project performance, outcomes, and operational readiness.
The role reports to the Project Leadership Team and provides regular updates, recommendations, and decision support to the Project Steering Committee.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Governance & Oversight- Establish and operate formal project governance, including Project Charter, decision frameworks, escalation paths, and RACI
- Chair or facilitate Project Leadership and Steering Committee meetings
- Ensure alignment among operational, clinical, digital health, and vendor stakeholders
- Ensure alignment with organizational, clinical, privacy, and change management standards
- Develop and manage an integrated Project Management Plan, schedule, WBS, milestones, and dependencies
- Coordinate planning inputs across workstreams to ensure feasibility and integration
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, and dependency controls
- Manage project budget, expenditures, forecasts, and financial reporting
- Ensure appropriate resourcing across workstreams and resolve capacity constraints
- Oversee delivery of all project outputs through workstream leads
- Manage dependencies across housekeeping, portering, integration, analytics, and change activities
- Ensure coordinated go‑live and stabilization planning
- Maintain integrated risk, issue, assumption, and decision logs
- Proactively mitigate delivery, operational, vendor, and organizational risks
- Escalate issues with clear options and recommendations
- Provide concise executive‑level reporting on status, budget, risks, issues, and readiness
- Maintain transparent communication while minimizing operational disruption

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager with:
- 10+ years of progressive PM experience on complex, enterprise initiatives
- Proven leadership of large, multi‑workstream implementations
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification
- Strong executive‑level governance and reporting experience
- Excellent communication skills
- BC health authority or comparable public‑sector experience
- Environmental Services, Portering, Patient Flow, or operational healthcare projects
- Experience with TeleTracking, Connexall, or similar platforms
- Vendor‑led implementation leadership
- Multi‑site project delivery experience
