- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Systems Engineering or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience, or MS degree preferred with related experience.
- The candidate should have a solid working knowledge of model based systems engineering (MBSE) tools including DOORS and Cameo.
- Qualified candidates must be able to obtain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance. This requires U.S. Citizenship.
Job Description
Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Sr. Systems Engineer. In this role, you will perform technical planning, system development, integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems solutions to Undersea business areas. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. The candidate will join a dynamic Systems Engineering team involved in systems design, integration and test of subsea systems, including manned submersibles, remotely operated and autonomous vehicles.
