Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Staff Electronic Warfare Architect Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals at our Melbourne, FL.
The ideal candidate has a DoD TS, a strong background in electromagnetics, digital and analog signal processing, Electronic Support Measures (ESM) subsystems, interferometry, difference of arrival, other geolocation techniques, antennas, antenna patterns, RF link budgets, RF propagation, and power/cooling constraints when working on tactical airborne platforms.
The EW Architect Engineer will be responsible for:
• Decomposing, partitioning and allocating requirements to the various components of the subsystem.
• Perform requirements analysis, independently develop interface control documents, and develop supplier procurement specifications.
• Requires knowledge of the industry-leading EW suppliers' products, antennas, and back-end processing.
• Digitally modeling an EW subsystem architecture, predicting and assessing performance against requirements, technical point of contact for EW suppliers, performing trade studies on various subsystem architectures, develop test verification procedures and criteria.
• Support development of mitigation plans and make recommendations to leadership.
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. The candid should have honed communication skills for delivering technical briefings to management as well as customer engineering.
Basic Qualifications:
Staff Electronic Warfare Architect Engineer (T05):
• Must have a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 14 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master's degree in a (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 12 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. (STEM) AND 9 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
• Active In-Scope TS DoD Secret clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP/PAR) - needed to start.
• Experience with architectural design, performing functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with RF Sensors
• Familiarity with EWS requirements and flow from level 1 to level 5
• Experience developing Procurement Specifications
• Familiarity/experience with Confluence
• Ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
• Ability to work in a small team and Integrated Product Team (IPT)
Primary Level Salary Range: $147,700.00 - $221,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
