The Enterprise Storage Engineer delivers and supports Enterprise Storage solutions using NetApp storage, Cisco SAN, and Cisco UCS. The position will support the delivery and sustainment of enterprise storage services and solutions while supporting the existing storage and SAN fabric infrastructure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

1. Will include instrumentation and operational functions using the NetApp OnCommand Unified Manager suite of tools- Insight (Assure, Platform, Plan, Balance), Performance Manager, System Manager, Workflow Automation, My Autosupport, Snap Creator Framework, and SnapCenter.
2. Will participate in vendor partnerships, assist in improving our overall storage service delivery, possess technical ability to troubleshoot and deliver our storage services.


QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. 4 Year Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
2. Ten to fifteen years of experience in system design/architecture that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position.
3. Extensive knowledge and recent work experience in troubleshooting, implementing and supporting enterprise storage, SAN, storage management and security related technologies and platforms is required

Preferred Requirements:

1. 1-2 + Years' experience automation and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform) - (Preferred)
2. 5+ years of experience in an enterprise NAS and SAN Storage, complex design, implementation and troubleshooting analytics.

  • Experience with specific enterprise storage technologies such as Dell/EMC PowerMax, IBM Flashsystem
  • NetApp Hardware & Software - Clustered Data Ontap and StorageGrid
  • IP and FC connectivity - NAS and SAN
  • Storage provisioning to Unix, Linux, Windows for physical and virtual platforms
  • Cisco MDS SAN Hardware & Software
  • NetApp snap, clone, replication, storage efficiency technologies
  • NetApp Active IQ Unified Manager suite of tools- Insight Performance Manager, System Manager, My Autosupport, Snap Creator Framework, and SnapManager
  • Strong NetApp experience. (Including: SnapShots, SnapMirror, SVM-DR, Storage Grid, & MetroCluster).
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, server administrators and management.
  • Ability to solve operational issues with both tactical and long-term solutions and communicate clear and concise information in support of team and firm goals.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, time management and customer service skills, as well as a positive attitude, and helpful approach.
  • Experience with large, heterogeneous, enterprise class storage solutions comprised of components from multiple industry-standard vendors.
  • Experience with or knowledge of VMware and other virtualization technologies and how they integrate with the storage infrastructure
  • Experience with various operating systems (Windows, RedHat, and AIX)
  • Storage replication experience (SRDF, Open replicator, IBM Global Mirror, Netapp SnapMirror)
  • Experience with managing ticketing and alerting through Service Now
