Internship Program - Summer 2026
Duration: 4 weeks
Pay: $20-$22 per hour
Locations: Kodiak Alaska, OR Federal Way, Washington
Program Overview
This internship provides hands-on exposure to both corporate and field operations within a federal construction management company. The intern will participate in structured job shadowing to gain a practical understanding of how federal construction projects are planned, managed, and executed.
Schedule & Rotation Overview
The internship will include a mix of remote and onsite shadowing:
Corporate Functions (Remote):
Shadow Human Resources, Contracts, Project Controls, and Finance teams.Project Site - Kodiak, Alaska (Onsite):
Shadow the project team, including the Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO), Superintendent, and Quality Control Manager (QCM).
Timing is anticipated for June or July and will be coordinated based on project needs.Project Management:
Shadow the Project Manager onsite in Federal Way, Washington, or remotely.Corporate Safety:
Shadow the Corporate Safety Manager.
Weekly rotations may shift based on staff availability and project schedules.
Learning Experience
During the program, the intern will gain exposure to:
Federal construction contracts and compliance requirements
Project scheduling, budgeting, and job cost tracking
Project management coordination and communication
Site safety, quality control, and daily field operations
This internship offers a view of how corporate and field teams collaborate to deliver federal construction projects safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contractual requirements.
SALARY & BENEFITS: Hourly salary range for this position is $20.00 to $22.00 per hour. Exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, education, certifications, and work location. Employees are eligible to enroll in medical, vision, dental, flexible spending, employee assistance program, group and voluntary life and disability insurance and 401(k) retirement plan. Paid Time Off, 10 paid holidays, 5 bereavement and 10 jury duty paid leave.
