Supply Chain Business Manager

As a Supply Chain Business Manager, you will drive delivery and supplier operational excellence within a global supply chain. This role sits within the Supply Chain Commodity team and is critical in navigating record production ramps and operational complexities. You will oversee global factories and manage multiple suppliers across various commodities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine purchasing needs.
  • Define metrics and monitor supplier performance against expectations to ensure continuous improvement. Regularly evaluate quality, performance benchmarks, and risks associated with supply base selection.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to deploy best practices in procurement, inventory control (e.g., JIT, Kanban, min/max), and manufacturing strategies.
  • Establish supplier goals to ensure material delivery meets forecasted demand.
  • Represent supplier business management on cross‑functional commodity teams, addressing supply challenges and ensuring customer needs are met.
  • Collaborate with engineering and suppliers to resolve complex issues, ensuring on‑time delivery of critical materials.
  • Develop presentations, white papers, and process flow charts to support continuous improvement projects.
  • Monitor product costs with suppliers, preventing negative PPV and supporting cost‑reduction efforts.
  • Drive improvements in supplier manufacturing processes to ensure product quality and on‑time delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience managing global factories and multiple commodities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems with scalable, repeatable solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, SAP, or other ERP systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills (Macros, Pivot Tables, Data Lookup/Indexing, Dashboards).
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% (domestic and international), primarily for internal meetings.
