Supply Chain/Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist
Job Description
Essential Functions:
• Lead and support execution of key supply chain initiatives and continuous improvement projects across goods movement, logistics, and material flow functions.
• Lead affordability, cost savings, and/or process improvement strategies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with GSC functions, manufacturing, quality, engineering and planning teams to ensure alignment and timely execution of project milestones.
• Analyze supply chain performance metrics and process data to identify gaps, recommend improvements, and support implementation of corrective actions.
• Assist in the development and standardization of tools, processes, and best practices to improve efficiency, material velocity, and cost performance.
• Support project tracking, reporting, and risk mitigation activities, ensuring visibility to leadership and timely resolution of issues.
• Serve as a liaison between site operations and corporate/global supply chain teams to ensure local execution aligns with enterprise strategies.
• Coordinate activities related to global supply chain goods movement & logistics readiness, inventory management, and product delivery for programs or initiatives at program sites.
• Prepare presentations, reports, and status updates for senior leadership, ensuring data-driven insights and effective communication.
• Participate in or lead kaizen events, root cause analysis, and corrective action teams focused on material movement and supply chain execution.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and government regulations in all supply chain activities.
Salary ranges will be dependent upon where the position is based and follows our company geographic salary bands aligned with position. Specific salary offer for candidate selected will be commensurate with experience.
Basic Qualifications (Supply Chain Planning Specialist):
• Must have Bachelors degree with 2 years of experience, Masters degree, or High School Diploma/Equivalent with 6 years of experience.
• Experience must be in supply chain, price/cost analysis, procurement, logistics, warehousing, production floor or global supply chain related field.
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
• Must have Current/ACTIVE DOD Secret Clearance upon applying
Basic Qualifications (Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist):
• Must have Bachelors degree with 5 years of experience, Masters degree with 3, or High School Diploma/Equivalent with 9 years of experience.
• Experience must be in supply chain, price/cost analysis, procurement, logistics, warehousing, production floor or global supply chain related field.
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
• Must have Current/ACTIVE DOD Secret Clearance upon applying
Preferred Qualifications:
• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree from accredited institution.
• Experience with ERP system, specifically SAP desired.
• Experience in Aerospace Manufacturing.
• MES Program Experience.
• Experience working knowledge in production planning process.
• Working knowledge with Total Quality Management and/or, Procurement, and/or Supplier Quality Assurance.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must have developed organizational skills and the ability to handle multi-tasking.
• Self-motivated and able to work as a teammate and independently.
Salary Range: $67,200.00 - $100,800.00Salary Range 2: $82,900.00 - $124,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
