Oversee, plan, monitor and manage teams supporting the Medline supply chain. Manage long-term supply planning initiatives and proactive risk mitigation ensuring sourcing optimization for multiple divisions. Ensure team members are focused on delivering on key performance indicators and continuous improvement of processes. Promote alignment by understanding and communicating customer needs and requirements throughout the organization.Job Description
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide direction to supply planning team members. Analyze, resolve or escalate inventory issues. Ensure daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly tasks of supply planning teams meet standards.
- Resolve daily supply issues. Direct team regarding issue resolution and continuous improvement.
- Communicate to senior Inventory Management and service issues with short and long term recommendations on resolution.
- Ensure inventory plans and execution of plans are consistent with Inventory Management goals.
- Prepare and present forward-looking, future projections of inventory, volume, service, planning, capacity, and space considerations. Assure that the system parameters are correct. Manage communication between Teams.
- Provide oversight and leadership during weekly meetings with internal business partners
- Work collaboratively with other Medline divisions and functions to ensure business success.
Management responsibilities include:
- Typically oversees professional employees/teams OR typically manages non-professional employees through Supervisors
- Day-to-day operations of a group of employees.
- May have limited budgetary responsibility and usually contributes to budgetary impact;
- Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects and develops.
- Recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing policies.
- Provide general guidelines and parameters for staff functioning.
- Hiring staff, recommending pay increases, performing performance reviews, training and development of staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
Work Experience:
- At least 4 years manufacturing, distribution or purchasing experience.
- Experience in managing global supply chain operations.
- Experience demonstrating knowledge level of MRP, buying, supply and demand management and forecasting.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Position requires the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
- Ability to apply concepts of algebra and business statistics.
- Work is primarily in an office setting. Occasional travel up to 5% may be required to other company locations or to attend conferences or training sessions.
- Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table).
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Work Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience directly managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating and directing people as they work.
- Experience in import logistics, inventory planning and transportation.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Experience with SAP.

The anticipated salary range for this position:
$110,240.00 - $165,360.00 AnnualThe actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
