Job Description
The Department of Surgery, Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery, is seeking exceptional candidates for a clinical faculty position specializing in cardiac surgery. Academic rank will be determined based on qualifications. Candidates should be Board Eligible or Board Certified. An interest in developing a robust practice and building a strong, collegial referral network for the University of Missouri is highly desirable.
Surgeons at University Hospital performed the first open-heart procedure in mid-Missouri in 1958. Since then, the hospital has earned a reputation as one of the state's most active and respected cardiothoracic referral centers, with more than 500 procedures performed annually. The University of Missouri offers a comprehensive cardiothoracic surgery program distinguished by its experienced surgical team and offering advanced treatment options for complex heart and lung conditions. Six advanced practice providers provide 24/7 support of the program. Cardiac trained anesthesiologists and critical care trained cardiologists round out the critical care team.
