Job Summary

As part of Rich's Smart Factory team, this role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex computer systems and networks across multiple manufacturing facilities within the US and Canada. They work closely with other IT professionals, controls engineers, vendors, and operations teams to ensure reliable data flow and system performance across diverse manufacturing environments. The role involves hands-on deployment, troubleshooting, and support of systems and the underlying OT network infrastructure.

This is a remote role in the US, with up to 50% domestic travel.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

* Design, implement, and maintain OT network solutions for asset connectivity (PLCs, HMIs, sensors, packaging/process lines)

* Ensure reliable communication using industrial protocols such as Ethernet/IP, MQTT, OPC UA, and Modbus

* Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures

* Provide technical support and guidance to end users

* Participate in system and network upgrades and migrations

* Conduct system and network performance monitoring and optimization

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including IT, controls, vendors, and operations-to deliver integrated solutions

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

Required:

* 2-5 years of experience in operational technology, industrial networking, or systems engineering

* Strong knowledge of OT networking standards, industrial protocols, and asset integration

* Experience with system configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting in manufacturing environments

* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interface with both technical and non-technical teams

Preferred:

* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer science

* Experience with communication brokers (e.g., Kepware, Ignition, Aveva)

* Understanding of cybersecurity principles in OT environments is beneficial

COMPENSATION

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

Annual Range/Hourly Rate

$83,555.00-$113,045.00
