Wespath, recognized as a 2017-2024 Chicago’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® and a 2018-2024 National Best and Brightest Companies to Work For®, has an opportunity for a Technical Architect who is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the technical aspects of Wespath systems, applications, and infrastructure. The Technical Architect collaborates closely with stakeholders, including developers, engineers, and project managers, to ensure that technical solutions align with business requirements, best practices, and industry standards.

More specifically, as a Technical Architect you will be responsible for:

• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the organization's business goals, technology landscape, and architectural vision.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document technical requirements, constraints, and objectives.
• Engage with agile teams, and design/document scalable, reliable, and secure technical architectures that support business needs, balance operational concerns and align with industry best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and collaborate with development teams throughout the software development lifecycle, including architectural design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Document technical architectures in alignment with industry standards and norms.
• Conduct architectural reviews and assessments of existing systems and propose recommendations for improvements, enhancements, and optimizations.
• Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure that technical solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and challenges associated with solution implementation and propose alternative approaches when necessary.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, trends, and industry standards, and evaluate their potential application to the organization's technical landscape.
• Define, document and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency, maintainability, and reusability of technical assets.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to design and optimize system and network architectures, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure that technical architectures comply with relevant security policies, standards, and regulations.
• Evaluate and recommend third-party software and tools that align with business and technical requirements and oversee their integration into existing systems.
• Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and documentation to communicate technical architectures, strategies, and recommendations to stakeholders and executive management.

• The compensation range for this position is $160,000 - $175,000 with a bonus opportunity and customary benefits. Final compensation will be set based on the hired applicant’s qualifications (education, training, and/or experience related to this role), and as such, may fall outside the range shown.
