Job Description
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Technical Services Project & Risk Management Specialist based in Sunnyvale, CA.
You will join Marine Systems as an individual contributor directing and managing activities associated with the Regional Strike Launcher Program Office.

What you will get to do:
• Acts as primary contact for program/project risks, leading status review sessions with internal management and customer
• Establishes project milestones and monitors adherence to the processes and schedules, identifies project risks and manages risk mitigation or solutions
• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project and risk management progress and for intervention and problem solving with program/project managers, functional managers, and customers
• Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports
• Ensures that contract requirements are met by directing, requesting, motivating or in other ways effecting desired action by all participating functional organizations and vendors or suppliers which are necessary to meet project requirements.
This position may be filled at a level 3 (Principal) or level 4 (Sr. Principal) depending on candidate experience.
Basic Qualifications for the Principal Technical Services Project & Risk Management Specialist:
• Bachelors degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, OR a Masters degree with 3 or more years of relevant work experience
• Experience in Program/Project Management and/or Risk Management
• Experience working closely with multiple functional organizations (Program Office, Engineering, Manufacturing, Field Operations, etc.)
• The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET security clearance
• U.S. citizenship required
Basic Qualifications for the Sr. Principal Technical Services Project & Risk Management Specialist:
• Bachelors degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience, OR a Masters degree with 6 or more years of relevant work experience
• Experience in Program/Project Management and/or Risk Management
• Experience working closely with multiple functional organizations (Program Office, Engineering, Manufacturing, Field Operations, etc.)
• The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET security clearance
• U.S. citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications for Both Levels:
• Experience with Strategic, Conventional, and/or Regional Strike Launcher Subsystems
• Design and operational experience with Navy Programs
• Experience with Microsoft system application and Agile project management tools
• Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership
• Experience with CAM Responsibilities and EVMS knowledge
Primary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
