Job Description
The 18-month Technology LDP program offer a structured technical concentration or a pathway to upskill in a specific technology team. This LDP Pathway is for our Boston-based Columbia Threadneedle Asset Management Sales, Marketing, and Distribution Technology Pathway.
As a Technology LDP, you'll support three key areas of the Distribution team for a 6-month rotation each.
* The Client Relationship Management (CRM) team delivers Salesforce capabilities that enable our Sales and Client Relations teams across North America, EMEA, and APAC. As part of the team, you'll learn how CRM drives productivity for wholesalers, key account teams, and channel partners while optimizing CRM workflows.
* The Marketing Technology team powers our digital client experience by supporting websites, marketing automation, personalization, and content delivery for marketing teams worldwide. This rotation blends marketing technology with a practical understanding of the asset management buyer and influencer ecosystem.
* The Distribution Analytics team manages the data and analytical platforms that drive insights for the Distribution and Marketing teams. You'll use business intelligence tools, data lakes, and service layers to leverage technical skills while understanding how teams use data to drive strategy and advisor relationships.
Together, these rotations provide hands on experience with CRM operations, digital marketing technology, and data-driven decision-making in a modern asset management distribution environment.
After exploring the breadth of the business unit through each rotation, LDPs may have the opportunity to post to a permanent position within Ameriprise Financial.
Key Responsibilities
The Technology LDP contributes to the success of the firm by delivering technology solutions to support the evolving needs of our clients, advisors, and employees. Our Technology organization is committed to strengthening and securing our systems, delivering unparalleled customer experiences, uncovering efficiencies, and growing and succeeding as a team.
As part of the Technology Leadership Development Program, you will cultivate leadership skills by co-collaborating and leading different Committees (Employee Engagement, Professional Development, Volunteer Committee and more).
Responsibilities vary depending on rotation and assigned projects(s) and may include:
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements
- Develop, document, test, and modify new and existing code
- Develop, document, test, modify, troubleshoot and maintain new and existing software applications
- Develop working knowledge of Ameriprise systems, processes, data, and vendor tools
- Learn and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to the development life cycle
- Write and maintain development/programming/systems documentation, as well as operations and user guides, as required.
- Make recommendations for improvements. Continuously improve analysis skills and best practices from prior projects, training and peer learning.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with technology teams, business partners and LDP peers
- Participation in Technology LDP Committees
Required Qualifications
- Current Senior at a 4-year university pursing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Science, Information Technology Infrastructure, or related field.
- Graduation date of December 2025 or May/June 2026
- Commitment to complete the full 18-month Leadership Development Program
Preferred Qualifications
- High degree of self-motivation with strong integrity and ethics
- Proven organization skills and ability to manage time effectively
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Ability to work and communicate collaboratively with all levels of the organization including team members, managers, and senior leaders
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Prior classroom, project, or work experience with software development/programming/coding

Base Pay Salary
The estimated base salary range for this role is $85,000/yearly. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
