Reyes Fleet Management is hiring immediately for the role of a 1st shift Trailer Technician/Mechanic B for our site in Portage, IN. This role will primarily be responsible for handling repairs on new and refurbished trailers.
Shift: Full-Time l Monday-Friday 6:30AM-3:00PM
Pay: $24.00-$27.00/HR based on experience/qualifications

Position Responsibilities:
- The Trailer Upfitting Technician is responsible for the refurbishment and remanufacturing of company fleet assets within the Company
- As a Trailer Upfitting Technician, you will assist with diagnosing and detailed inspections of complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software
- You will complete thorough documentation of work orders for repairs through the online AssetWorks system
- You will install trailer refrigeration, heating units, and external graphics as well as perform basic welding, metal cutting, and installation of hydraulic liftgate components
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2 plus years of related experience
- Valid Driver’s License to operate applicable company vehicles
- Must possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement)
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Technical School Certification
