Job Description
Job Title: Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QC/QA) Transmission Analyst
Reports to: Project Controls Supervisor
Location: Georgia Power (GPC) Corporate Headquarters- 241 Ralph McGill Blvd. Atlanta, GA
Department: Transmission Project Controls
Travel: Up to 10%
The Transmission Analyst - QA/QC role is essential in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and compliance of our transmission capital projects schedules. Additionally, this role will cover training team members, maintaining and updating project controls scheduling procedures, and ensuring templates are current and aligned with the latest standards and regulatory requirements. Furthermore, this individual will implement and maintain quality control and quality assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet Georgia Power's standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Job Requirements
Job experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related field).
- Project Management, Engineering or Construction experience preferred.
- Power Delivery experience preferred.
- Experience in quality control, quality assurance, or project controls within the transmission or utility industry preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to transmission projects.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing QC/QA plans and procedures.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma, CQA) are a plus.
