Additional Shift Information:

Per Diem (8 hour shifts). Requirement of at least one Saturday overnight per schedule. Overnight call and shift coverage required as needed. Must cover varying available shifts, days, evenings, overnights, weekday and weekend days.

Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$58.920 - $76.030 - $85.150


This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with SEIU-UHW. As part of the terms of employment, employees in this role are required to join the union within 31 days of hire and remain a member (e.g. dues paying, fee paying, religious exception contributor) for the duration of the collective bargaining agreement.

This position was originally posted to ratified SEIU members from 4/17/26 - 4/24/26. The position is now available to be filled by internal candidates that are not members of the ratified Bargaining Unit or External candidates to Sharp.


What You Will Do
To perform a wide variety of technical procedures with quality patient care, assisting Physicians as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Satisfactory completion of formal training program in an AMA approved school and meets the requirements of an appropriate State and/or Federal mandated certification or equivalent.
  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography OR Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International -REQUIRED


Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 Year related experience.


Essential Functions

  • Patient and family education
    Provides pre and post procedure education and reassurance to include but not limited to: type of procedure, length of procedure, physician involved, contrast administration and mode of delivery, positioning, the report, patient satisfaction form, etc.
    Interacts and communicates in a manner to reflect an understanding of the patient's age, culture, state of health, level of comprehension, etc.
    Communicates and interacts with the patient's family in a way that is perceived positive and supportive while maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Produce high quality exams
    Understands and applies appropriate imaging techniques to achieve the highest quality study obtainable.
    Performs exams and positions according to department imaging, cardiac, or vascular ultrasound protocols.
    Labels and identifies studies correctly using legal marker set.
    Uses imaging equipment proficiently.
    Uses imaging agents (contrast) according to protocol.
    Performs routine and special procedure exams as assigned.
  • Quality assurance
    Verifies patient identification and pregnancy status if appropriate.
    Assists Radiologist or Cardiologist in procedures while practicing sterile techniques to prevent cross-contamination.
    Delivers safe, efficient and therapeutic care.
    Performs proper procedure on proper patient.
    Demonstrates knowledge of universal precautions and sterile techniques.
    Observes the patient, reports any changes in status, and initiates appropriate action to ensure a positive outcome.
    Follows patient's Advanced Directive, if applicable.
    Follows HIPAA guidelines for PHI as appropriate.
