Job Description
Our Medical Device client is seeking a UX content Strategist to join their team for the next 12 months, 40 hours/week.
This role is hybrid onsite 3 days a week in Acton, MA or San Diego, CA.
Role Summary
The UX Content Strategist will craft engaging, informative UX content that supports products and experiences for patients, caregivers, and health care providers worldwide. This role plays a key part in simplifying the lives of people impacted by diabetes. You will champion customer-centricity, elevate the quality of UX, and collaborate closely across teams to drive clarity, consistency, and impactful communication. This position requires creativity, strategic thinking, attention to detail, and a passion for putting user needs first.
Top Must Have Skills
Strong applied writing skills, especially for a lay user audience
Ability to create clear, consistent, on-brand UX content across digital platforms
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (UX, Product, Marketing)
Proven ability to execute and align teams on content strategy and UX copy
Strategic thinking with the ability to develop frameworks and document rationale
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Additional Qualifications
Knowledge of best-practice content strategy frameworks and UX design principles
Foundational understanding of UX design, design tools, and workflows
Creativity and empathy to understand user challenges and translate them into effective content
Eagerness and ability to learn new technologies quickly
Basic project management skills
Familiarity with agile development environments
Experience with tools such as Figma, JIRA, and Miro
Understanding of medical device development and/or diabetes (preferred)
Bachelor's degree or higher in a field related to UX Content Strategy (Business Communications, Creative Writing, English, etc.)
1-2 years of UX writing/editing experience for mobile app-based products
Responsibilities
Strategy and Roadmap
Partner with design, research, product, and other teams to develop a shared UX strategy
Define and maintain content frameworks, documenting rationale and decision-making
Content Strategy Excellence
Create compelling digital UX content that is engaging, empowering, and on-brand
Produce informative and persuasive content that supports positive user outcomes
Ensure content consistency in brand, style, tone, quality, and literacy level
Lead content strategy execution and alignment across teams
Collaborate frequently with cross-functional partners to manage revisions and meet deadlines
Communication and Influence
Ask thoughtful, inquisitive questions and champion innovation and simplicity
Communicate content strategies clearly and concisely
Actively collaborate with and involve key stakeholders throughout the process
Center of Excellence, Education, and Advocacy
Peer review content produced by other Content Strategists and provide constructive feedback
Continuously learn, share best practices, and contribute to raising the bar for content strategy
Embrace a feedback culture, giving and receiving input to strengthen team capabilities
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including medical data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment. Additionally, drug products may be present in the workplace.
